The well-known Skyscanner is the flight comparison website chosen by many travellers to find the best flights for their travels. You can easily use the search engine to choose origin and destination, but also to indicate specific airports and direct flights. To help you get some inspiration, the web shows a map, options for various destinations and some of the cheapest flights of the moment. Once you get the results of your search with different companies, you can apply filters (sort by price, schedule, scales…).

Skyscanner compares flights of more than 1,000 airlines in a few seconds and is especially useful for those who can be flexible with the dates of their trip, because this way it will be easier to get a good offer. One of its strengths is that it covers a large period of time (up to one year), so it allows you to buy flights well in advance and, therefore, at a better price.

Once you have chosen flights from Skyscanner, you will be redirected to the airline’s website so that you can complete the purchase. In addition, you can also activate alerts and receive notifications when the flights of your interest are at a good price.

Google Flights

The flight search engine from Google is not yet very well known among travellers. Its appearance is different from other flight comparison websites: it has a very simple distribution and, besides the box for entering origin, destination, dates and people, it offers the possibility of introducing other parameters.

These options are the search for prices on a map, which are updated if you change the dates. Apart from the map, Google shows you a selection of destinations with cheap prices for the dates you have chosen. In addition, here you can also organise multiple flights between several cities and make a trip that suits you. The only downside of this part is that all flights have to belong to the same airline, so it may not be the cheapest option.

Kiwi

Kiwi.com (previously called Skypicker) is a flight search engine that was founded in 2012 and compares airlines such as Ryanair, Wizz Air, Air Asia or Jetstar, among others. It has a very simple interface to use, as well as a map with a multitude of cities with their airports and indicated distances. Kiwi combines flights of companies that do not collaborate with each other, making the scales more economical. Of course, it can be filtered by price, schedules, recommended…

With the guarantee of this portal you can cover yourself for cancellations, delays or changes in flight schedules. In addition, they offer you an alternative flight to your destination or they reimburse a part of the trip. You can also have offline access to your boarding passes.

Adioso

The last flight comparison website that we like is Adioso. It is perfect for quick searches since you don’t have to fill in details in many boxes. For example, fill in “London to Amsterdam in May”, and it will easily show you the best, cheapest and fastest flight results. It shows you flights of many different airlines and after having chosen the flight you’d like to book, Adioso will redirect you to the page of the airline in order to make the booking.

The most important characteristic of this website is that you can be flexible. If you don’t know yet when you would like to go on a city trip to Paris, you could search for: London to Paris for 3 days. This way, you are able to find the best deals for your flights.
